Shaykh Abdullahi is a world known scholar was the Minister of Justice in Mauritania at the age of 26, and Vice President of his country.
Shaykh Hamza calls him brilliant and says that his area of expertise include many branches of the Islamic sacred sciences. He is an expert in Arabic language, Qur'anic sciences, all four schools of fiqh, and Usul al-fiqh. He has taught Usul al-fiqh for years at jeddah Islamic University and is known for his understanding of this science. The text used for this course was the Egyptian scholar al-`Imriti's poem version of Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayni's al-Waraqat.
This series will give you insights into how the furu' (branches) are derived from the usul (foundations). It will also give you a good understanding of just how complex this science is, and instill an appreciation for what lengths the `ulama have gone to in order to articulate the rulings of the din to us.
